Background checks provide you with all the basic information you need about new employees. You can learn vital details about their past that would obviously have an influence on the way they carry out their duties for you. CV discrepancies are not an unusual thing. Many times when investigators come in from the field, they have information that does not tally with what they heard from the applicants themselves. This should come as no shock – details can be omitted – but at least, the right choice can still be made based on the fresh facts.
