Air Hockey Game - Entertaining for the Whole Family

Air hockey games were something my family loved for countless years. I bring to mind when my dad first bought my brothers and I an air hockey game. We were delighted. We used it for hours and hours. Of course, this was before there was a Wii, Super Nintendo, X-Box or the like.

We loved the air hockey game. My father used to play with us kids and even my mom would get in on a contest or two. I can truthfully look back and say that a number of my most cherished memories from my adolescence involve the air hockey game and our family tournaments.

This past Christmas I decided to buy an air hockey game for my family. I have two sons and 1 daughter. In the beginning my wife was a little doubtful with us picking out an air hockey table, she figured our daughter would hate it and our boys would hog it. I will confess, I had those identical worries.

After much talk we decided to buy the air hockey game and set up some family rules. We wanted it to be a family pastime and not something just for my two boys. They were thrilled with the plan because they thought that my wife and daughter would be easy to beat. Wow, they were mistaken.

I told my sons that air hockey was a pastime of speed, alertness and reactions, not a game of force and power. They didn’t pay attention and after my wife and daughter beat them soundly for weeks, they finally got the hint and stopped with the power shots and focus more on speediness.

My whole family plays the air hockey game and laughs and has a great time. It’s exactly like when I was a youngster. The typical amount of name calling is taken care of when they’re made. Although the joking is nearly as much an element of the reason we have an excellent time as the sport itself. We keep the opposition friendly and make it a family affair.

When we havea family play-off, my wife goes over the top with the meal. She makes the kids feel like they’re in an actual competition and they need to eat and drink to stay quick. My sons always eat a good amount but they eat like grown men on air hockey game nights. My daughter even eats a little bit more than usual (so as opposed to eating like a bird she eats like a big bird).

If any family is taking into consideration an air hockey game for their home, I would recommend it highly. The air hockey games sold now are a lot of better in worth and are just as much entertainment as they were when I was a adolescent.
