Step by step procedure of lasik eye surgery

Lasik is a laser technology that gained a lot of fame in last few years. The actual surgery starts with step two. Usually the thickness of the corneal flap is between 120-140 microns; the patient is not able to feel or see anything during this stage. The whole step takes only a few seconds to complete.
In the following step, the corneal flap is folded back to access the inner layers of the cornea. A laser machine is used to reshape the structure of cornea with an accuracy of almost about 1/2000 of a millimeter. During reshaping of the cornea, a pre programmed excimer lasik laser machine is used to polish the surface of the cornea, which helps in altering the refractive power and eliminating th refractive error in the eye.
The last step is the finishing stage of the process. The corneal flap is folded back into place and care is taken that it is repositioned perfectly without any folds or wrinkles. With this, the Rancho Cucamonga lasik surgery is completed. The surgeon observes the patient for the next few minutes to ensure that the corneal flap is securely placed. Since the corneal flap remains intact in place it starts healing on its own immediately after the Rancho Cucamonga lasik treatment. There is no need for stitching or bandage.
After the treatment, the patient can resume their regular activities and blink normally. It takes about three months for the patient to completely recovery from temporary side effects once the Rancho Cucamonga laser vision surgery is successfully conducted.
