By: Jane Downing

There are several reasons why someone may develop an ovary cyst, or ovary cyst symptoms.
1. Genetics: One of the most noted causes of an ovary cyst is related to genetics as numerous studies have shown that the condition is prevalent in some families. However, it's important to remember that genetic predisposition doesn't necessarily mean you are destined to a life of dealing with ovarian cysts as there are a number of lifestyle changes and modifications you can do to prevent the condition from interfering with your day to day activities and reduce ovarian pain.
2. Weakened Immune System: A weakened immune system, for one of many different reasons, including something as simple as sleep deprivation or malnutrition, or as complex as a serious disease, may inadvertently result in the formation of ovarian cysts as the body is less able to protect itself.
3. Poor dietary choices: Different types of food including the ones rich in carbohydrates, junk food toxic food and acidic food can bring about hormonal imbalance and can weaken your immune system making you more vulnerable to ovarian cyst. Similarly diet rich in sugar and low on fresh vegetables can make the task of flushing out toxins difficult thereby aggravating ovarian cyst problem
4. Insulin resistance: High level of insulin can stimulate ovarian androgen production, which leads to the production of male hormones. This reduces the serum sex-hormone binding globulin or SHGB. The SHBG can in turn aggravate the ovarian cyst condition to quite an extent.
5. An ovarian cyst can result from a hormonal imbalance, when there is a lack of ovulation. If the egg is not released as normal one month, progesterone may not be produced, which impacts the imbalance.
Whilst the causes listed above are the main ones. When some of them occur at the same time there is an increased risk of developing an ovarian cyst.

Conventional wisdom blinded by hackneyed forms of treatment cannot treat and cure ovarian cysts. To treat this complex disease, a multidimensional view adopted by the holistic approach is needed.
